Tournament Regulations

  1. There will be two levels which teams can sign up for: Level B and Level C.

  2. Every match will be controlled by a referee from the Aragonese Volleyball Federation (according to availability) who may be helped in matches, if requested by team captains,  by a second referee, who will be a player from another team, however, the first referee will ALWAYS decides who wins the point.

  3. During the preliminary round, matches will be played as a single set of 25 points, winning the first team to reach them, according to the RFEVB rules and regulations. The final classification criteria for this round will be:

    • Difference between victories and losses.

    • In the event of a tie, the difference between points won and lost.

    • In the event of a 2nd tie, the winner of the previous match between all the teams in the tie.

    • In the event of a further tie, the winner will be drawn randomly in front of the team captains.

  4. The semi final round will be played as a single set of 25 points, the winner needing a  2-point advantage, as stipulated in the RFEVB regulations.

  5. The final will be played as the best of three (3) sets, the first two sets up to 25 points and the third one up to 15 points. All sets must be won with a 2-point advantage as stipulated by the RFEVB regulations. There will be one (1) time-out allowed for each team per set.

  6. A match for the 3rd and 4th place will be played up to a set of 25 points with a 2-point advantage as stipulated by the RFEVB regulations.

Special Rules

​​​

  1. Every substitution for an injury will be notified to the organization and the rest of the teams, moreover it will be reflect in the team composition. The player acceptance will be borne by the organization.

  2. Those teams which do not arbitrate when they were asked for, will be penalized with -1 point in the ranking.

  3. Every team will sign before every competition its definitive team composition for the competition, this sign will be done at the captains meeting. If one team do not attend in this meeting, he must sign before playing the first match. Any team is allowed to start the competition without signing their team composition. The organizers will give to the referees the team’s composition at the beginning of the match, to check that the players that are playing the match are the same signed in the team composition to reflect it in the match record. Both captains will sign the match record checking that the referee has written down all the players that are going to play before and after the match.

  4. If there was an incomplete team (understanding as incomplete when it has not got 6 players) at the beginning of the tournament, that team will be completed by the exact number of players missing and it will not be allowed to do any changes during the tournament, excepting injuries. Those players will always be from the same level or a lower one, never from a higher level.

  5. If a team is not able to play with its six players due to an injury, a player from another team can substitute her according these conditions: 
    If the player is from the same level she will be allowed to play if the opponent team agrees.
    Every substitution for an injury will be notified to the organization and the rest of the teams, moreover it will be reflect in the team composition. The player acceptance will be borne by the organization.
